Last week, Gabrielle Jongeneel travelled to Renesse for the oncology school student retreat 2017, which took place from October 11 till October 13. The retreat is a special event for PhD students who do their research in the field of cancer. For PhD students, the retreat is an opportunity to present their work to colleagues from other cancer-related research areas.
During the retreat, Gabrielle presented a poster about her research project ‘Personalized Adjuvant TreaTment in EaRly stage coloN cancer (PATTERN)’. This recently started project aims to improve the selection of stage II colon cancer patients for adjuvant treatment by evaluating the long term health gain and cost-effectiveness of new molecular based selection strategies using a decision model.
If you are curious about the developments within the PATTERN project, keep an eye on the website.
