Topics: Decision-analytic modeling, colorectal cancer screening and surveillance

Marjolein Greuter has a MSc degree in Research in Health Sciences from VU University Amsterdam, with a focus on health economic modeling. She is also a registered Epidemiologist. Her research focuses on colorectal cancer (CRC) screening and surveillance. She developed a microsimulation model to predict health effects and costs of CRC screening and surveillance strategies, which has been used to inform policy makers. She currently supervises PhD students who use modeling to evaluate personalized surveillance in individuals with Lynch syndrome and to evaluate the treatment and follow-up of individuals diagnosed with CRC. Besides her research, she teaches in the area of health economics and basic statistics.
