Stefanie received her MSc in Epidemiology at the University of Utrecht with a specialization in Clinical Epidemiology. After obtaining her MSc she worked as a researcher for the Unit of Cancer Epidemiology at Sciensano, the Belgian institute for Health, with a research focus on the evaluation of cervical cancer prevention methods through systematic reviews and individual patient data meta-analyses. Currently, she is a PhD student at the VU Medical Center working on the Risk-based cervical cancer screening (RISCC) project, a multidisciplinary consortium working on HPV screening and vaccination and contributing to the elimination of cervical cancer in Europe.
