Targeted therapies are a breakthrough in the treatment of cancer. The big challenge is to predict which patients benefit from these expensive drugs. DNA analysis of tumor tissue is considered instrumental for this. Fast technological developments and complexity of these analyses ask for a coordinated approach for optimal accessibility and quality. In the PATH project pathology departments and treating physicians will closely collaborate to meet these aims.
The postdoc will be involved in health economic modelling on patient level, the cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) part, and on pathology laboratory level, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) part of the project. The postdoc can count on support of experts on both fields of research, CEA and DEA.
